Granny Weatherwax - Part of the Discworld inspired collection
Re-rooted by hand with high quality nylon hair Original symbol and stock eyes completely removed Carefully painted custom symbol and eyes using only artist's quality acrylic paints Micro-fine glitter on symbol Hair has been styled and pinned Hand sculptured broom Custom made clothing; dress with cat charm and witches hat.
Design significance - Granny Weatherwax is inspired by the Discworld series of books written by Terry Prachett. I love the Discworld series and really wanted to incorporated it with my other love; custom my little ponies. I hope I have done the character justice. The symbol has been designed to represent the triple coven; maiden, mother and other (the 3 phases of the moon). The symbol is an illusion as I wanted to also represent Granny Weatherwax's philosophy of headology (people see what they want to, the young lady and the older women).
Granny Weatherwax is currently on eBay [link] I am hoping she sells well as 20% of the final price will be donated to Alzheimer's Research Trust.
I dabble a little with both. The problem with clay clothes is they remove the area you have to place a symbol, and I like my ponies to have a symbol if I can.
I like her in the books as well, especially in Wyrd sisters and Masquerade, though Death is my favourite character. Thank you for the positive comments.
