I've loved your whole twilight set....
Over at the arena we've been working on a "twilight swap" and we've seen a lot of cool twilight inspired ponies. Your set totaly reminds me of jupi's set but with great differences. Great painting on the symbols! I envy your patience with the tiny canvases. :)

your ponies are always so awesome looking! I really wonder how you manage to draw those absolutely perfect "sticker-like" symbols, which look rather printed on than drawn o.O
*is a klutz when it comes to precise, delicate works*
(Maybe you will someday tell us all the secret behind them.. XD or at least what kind of brush you are using =P)
I love your whole Twilight Custom series and I'm really looking forward to the last one, twilight herself. I have read 3 of the 4 books now, but postponing New Moon a bit cause... well, I don't want it to end so soon LOL
Maybe shouldnt have read your comments about the eyes more fitting, but on the other hand..well, wasn't it kinda obvious what would happen in the next volume.
Anyways, love your work, will stay put for the next customs^^

Sorry I guess I should have put a spoiler alert

As for brushes I use the smallest size brushes I can find, which is 000 or 0000. I do not just a specific brand, just as with my paints I hunt around local art shops and hobbycraft and get whichever brushes look the smallest. However for general interest the brush I am using right now is a Windsor and Newton.

ah,oki ^^
I have a similar small brush I think o.O it is classified as 0/2 (though I'm not too sure with all these classifications =P) and it was the smallest brush I could find here in germany so far.
But tbh, lately, I draw the outlines with a waterproof marker/edding pen, then colour the symbols either with that small brush..or.. even smaller, a toothpick... It works.. I guess =P But it never looks as perfect as yours (look at my avatar pic, thats a symbol I did =P I should really upload my customs sometimes xd)
I guess you are also using acrylic colours?
(sorry for asking all that stuff =P Im just curious hehe ^^watching your account for quite some while now and every time something new pops up its just like "awwww,so cute and good again)

I think your brush is actually a few sizes bigger then the ones I use. I believe 0/2 is 00, and I use 000 and 0000 so you need to find a 0/3 and 0/4 I think. I could be wrong as I don't really understand it either. I also use acrylic colours and work in a similar way to yourself, except I find it easier to paint the outline rather then draw it in pen. I then fill it in, in a similar way I imagine as you do.

:D cool, thanks a lot for the info :)
I'll go hunting for a smaller brush then, maybe I can find one in a shop specialized on those small specialized hobbycraft shops. Then I only need to hunt for a bit of time so I can start doing another custom hehe.
Okay, one last thing.. =P do you "prepaint" your symbols somehow? Like.. with pencil on the pony or something like that? Or just on a sheet of paper? I am still amazed at your precise brushworking ^^

Good luck with your hunt. I do not usually pre-paint my symbols. Usually I just see them put together in my head and go from there.
